I am researching the EDMONDS of Perry County, Alabama, and noted
that the names are so similar to the EDMONDS of Fayette County. Does
anyone have a connection between these two families? JOHN and NANCY
EDMONDS came from Georgia about 1804 or so to Perry County, Alabama.
Their daughter MARY EDMONDS wed JOSEPH M. HEARD 1824 and their child
MARY FRANCES HEARD is my great grandmother.

Silas Benjamin RAY is listed in the 1880 Fayette Co AL census.
His mother Jane RAY is listed living with him. He died in 1885.
Would anyone know when his mother died? Also where is Silas B. RAY
buried? If I knew where he is buried then his mother Jane may be
buried in the same place. I am trying to find out her maiden name.
Thanks Ross

Searching for information re: David BERRY. 1850 census
shows David (Dav) age 45, born NC. Wife is Dedama?, age 42, born
SC. 1860 census shows wife, Frances E, age 44, born SC. The
surname of Dedama or Frances E. could possibly be BOX. In
a letter to his son, John H. BERRY, in 1873, David writes "we had a
good Meeting at Ebenezer Brother Livingston is our preacher this yeare
... they had a joyafull time at the head of the Tanyard branch named Sardes
church." Does anyone know where that church was located?
David also mentions to his son, who lived in Burnet County, Texas, that
aunt Polley BOX died last September. And, he sends a message to Wm
L. LONG in Lampasas, Texas. A later letter notifies the son of David
BERRY's death. It says that "he was buried on the hill rite above
wher the rode turn ______ of the big road to go to the mis Henry place."
David Berry died May 7, no year given. David BERRY is on the 1870
census, but I haven't located him on 1880. Does anyone have any information
re: his death, wives surnames, place of burial, etc. I will gladly exchange
information.

I am looking for information on Lucy Butler-Britnell.
She died in about 1928 at an early age during childbirth when my grandmother
(Estelle Britnell Cole) was only 2. Because she was so young
when her mother died she lost contact with her Mother's family and knows
very little about her mother or her family. My grandmother was born
May 26,1926. Lucy married Jay Hugh Britnell--he died in 1975.
Any information that could be provided would be very much appreciated.

I am having a problem getting anywhere with the HOLLIMAN and BELK families
of Fayette Co. I believe the parents of
Leander HOLLIMAN (b. 1877) are John and Callise. I am
also speculating that John's parents could be Warren and Mary
HOLLIMAN. Leander's wife, Nancy Elizabeth BELK (b.1881),
I believe to be the daughter of Brit BELK and Amanda
MOORE. Any information would be appreciated.
