I am trying to find some info on Jane
SPEARS listed on the
1870 Fayette Co Al, East District. There are nine
children listed no father in family, among the children listed is
Pleasant C who is my ggrpa and Robert J my great uncle, as to the rest
of
the children I dont know.
My Grgrpa P C served in the Union Army and was
wounded in Jan 1865 and was discharged in Oct of same year.
He along with his Mother Nancy Jane Harden Spears and Brother
Robert
Settled in Conway Co Ar @ 1870. I cant locate them on any 1870
census
tho, my ggrpa married in Conway Co in 1874. I am trying to find
what
happened to the other seven children since only Robert is listed on the
1880 1880 census in Conway Co and of course Pleasant and his family are
listed.
The children are as listed
Juda Ann
Cannela
Pleasant C
Mary M (probably for a BIVENS
aunt)
Nancy C ( for her mother)
M A(Probably Martha for a Harden Aunt)
Wm G
John H (probably for his grpa John HARDEN)
Robert I or is some cases J , it is indeed Isham.
On Roberts death cert it lists Glen Allen as his place of birth, and he
was born in 1858 or 1859 and died in July of 1933 in Conway Co
Ar.
Any help you can give me on this I would appreciate so much. I do have info for the father of this family. His name was James Pleasant SPEER, b 1821 Fayette Co Tn and died in Smith Co Tx in 1887 he divorced Nancy Jane and Married Tabitha DANIELS in Yalobusha Co Ms, Year UK. albaile3317@sedona.net

I am descended from Joseph WRIGHT
of
Fayette Co., Al. His sons were James J., William Pleasant,
Richard
Razzy, Jesse H., and Thomas Poe WRIGHT. These sons are listed in
the
1850 Fayette County Al. census. There were other children born
after
they left Al in about 1854. The family settled in Polk Co., Texas
between Onalaska and Moscow. The farm houses of Thomas Poe WRIGHT
and
Jesse WRIGHT still stand as well as some old log barns built by
slaves.
William Pleasant WRIGHT was my GGrandfather, both he and his brother
Richard Razzy WRIGHT served in the 25th TEXAS Cal. CSA in the Civil
War.
Richard Razzy, Thomas Poe, and Jesse H., are buried in the WRIGHT
cemetery in Onalaska, Texas.
William Pleasant WRIGHT died in
Springer
N.M. in 1891 and is buried there, although I don't know the exact
location of the grave. William Pleasant WRIGHT called "Plez" married
Sofrona Alice BOYED
(Indian woman) in Liberty Co., Texas on June 17,
1869. The marriage license was issued and is on file at Polk Co,
Texas.
They had the following children:
Mollie E. WRIGHT (B) 11-01-1871 Hood Co., Texas
R. (Lum) WRIGHT (B) 01-24-1875 Frankfort, Ar.
J.L. (Joe) WRIGHT (B) 11-03-1879 Frankfort, Ar.
Razzy Boyd (Pooly) WRIGHT (B) 05-09-1878 Frankfort, Ar.
Mae WRIGHT (B) 08-23-1880 Frankfort, Ar.
James Berton WRIGHT (B) July 14, 1887 Seminole Indian Res.
T.P. (Taddie) WRIGHT (B) 08-30-1891 Springer, N.M.
(D) 09-18-1891 Springer, N.M.(Smallpox)
On September 20, 1891 Plez WRIGHT died of smallpox. Sofrona Boyed WRIGHT remarried Mac McCoy, and she died in 1918 in OK. Any info on this family, especially the names of Joseph WRIGHTS parents and any info on his wife is appreciated.

I would like to know if
anyone knows if there are any records of who is buried at Boone Cemetery
in the early 1900's, or any records from the early days of New Hope
Church. New Hope is at a little place that used to be
called Shakerag in
Fayette Co.

Does anyone know about Lucinda
HARPER who is buried
in Hopewell Cemetery near Glen Allen AL? She was
born 12-22-1839, d.1-1-1887. Her grave has a large head stone and
foot
stone and a solid concrete covering over the grave.
I believe I saw her listed in a census (Walker Co or Fayette County) as
daughter of John Lyle.
I believe John Lyle was a unionist. In one census,
she was in the household of Nancy Jane Berryhill Harper, widow of
Josiah
Harper, a Unionist. This Hopewell Cemetery is where the
Revolutionist
soldier, George Tucker, SR is buried.
I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone who knows about Lucinda
Harper.

I am researching the family of Wiley H.
Fields, my GG
Grandfther, and Judy Brooks,
his wife. 1860 state census
indicate he was living in Fayette County. I would greatly
appreciate any
help with information of Wiley H. Fields after 1860, especially
location
of burial, date of death etc. I've been researching the Fields
Family
for about 40 years now and would be more than willing to share
