I would like any information anyone has on the GARDNER and FARQUHAR families living in and around fayette co. I know that my ggrandfather grew up in Berry, AL. I would like to know about where they lived, etc... i plan to visit the county very soon. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Minerva KIDD, 1847, daughter of Andrew and Ailsey KIDD married Carroll SPARKS in 1878 in Fayette County, AL. There was about 30 years difference in their ages. Does anyone know if she remarried after his death or where she is buried? Carroll and Minerva had one daughter, Annie who married John Quincy ADAM. Annie died at about age 33.

my grandfather was born november, 30, 1877 in fayette county. he never knew his real parents as he was given to the CROWNOVER family when he was very young. they lived in walker county. he thought his mothers name was MARY or LOTTIE KNIGHT. and she died when he was very young, he was told she slipped on an icey spot while going for water and never recovered. he knew nothing of his father. i have taken the dna test and am most positivelly decended from the cockerham / cochran line. thats all the information i have. if any of this rings a bell for anyone please notify me. my e-mail jerrycrown@hotmail.com.
