"According to the Fayette County Heritage book, most of the VICKs claim to be descendants of Adam VICK.  His line can be traced back to Joseph VICK, and he was a decendant of the VICKs around Glouchesteshire, England.  About the VICK home, we were told it was built some time right after the Civil War.  I'm not sure who lived there first, but one of the VICKs was a school teacher.  We were told the teacher moved to Fayette and later to Florida."
