I am researching the ancesters of William J. Free born in Dothan, Henry Co., AL. He was a farmer in or around Dothan. BD is 1848 but do not have DD. I am also researching the St, John family who , when I knew of them, lived in Tuscaloosa. At one time they lived in Pickens and other counties--perhaps Henry--not sure. I need ancestors of Ellis W. St. John, BD Oct. 20, 1897,DD Dec. 1979 and Hattie E. St.John, BD July 9, 1891, DD May 1980.

Searching these names in Southeast Alabama and Northwest Florida. The HUDSON's go back to the early 1800s in Barbour and Dale Counties Alabama. The CONRADs(COONROD) go back to Chester County South Carolina. The WHITFIELDs go back to Washington County Georgia.

Searching for parents, siblings of Cynthia Susan McDonald, b. 1832, GA, m. 1. James Ervin Hicks, 2. George Wright. Resided in Henry County from at least 1852 until her death. My great-uncle said, in an old letter, that he knew her and "three of her sisters". I suspect her father to be James R. McDonald, who is in the 1860 Henry Co. census. Can anyone help?

Thomas BATTLE 62/m b. NC listed in 1850 HENRY CO. AL census with Koonce children, children of his daughter Leah Battle Koonce. Next door to William GRIFFIN family. William's wife was Mary Etta BATTLE Griffin. Can anyone tell me if Mary was the dau of Thomas Battle. Mary B. Griffin's first daughter was named Leah. Any info appreciated.
