elected Capt. of Co A. Transferred to the Army of Northern Virginia, Feb 1864, and joined
Davis' Mississippi Brigade, where he commanded the Sharp Shooters. He was in all important
battles from the Wilderness until 2 Apr 1865, when badly wounded and captured. Imprisoned
at Old Capital Prison at Washington, and at Johnson's Island. Released 31 Jul 1865.
