In 1930, Lauderdale County, Alabama had nineteen (19) precincts. This index includes only the first seven (7) precincts, which cover about one-third of the county. All of the precincts found below are located in townships 1 through 3, ranges 7, 8, and 9. This means that the towns of Florence, and all points west of Florence, ARE NOT included. In addition to indexing the heads of household, the first person of a different surname in a household is also indexed. For instance, if John BROWN had two people named GREEN living in his home, only the first person named GREEN has been indexed.
