Lizzie Gibbs-m-Pony Slyvester Price, He went by the name of "Sid Price. They
lived at Waterloo AL, in lauderdale County
when they were married, They moved to Hardin County TN, across the State
line.
They had seven children, who moved to Ark, after the death of Pony Slyvester
Price. He died of T.B.
A Girbert Gibbs, who was a cousin to my mother Lizzie Gibbs told me that Sid just wandered into Waterloo
AL, and got a room with the Gibbs family, said he didn't know where he came from,
but he played a fiddle, and he drank a lot.
Any one out there that can tell me anything?

From: Joan Hall
Looking for information regarding William Taylor Scott and wife, Sarah Frances
Carroll who lived in the Gravelly Springs area. Children were: William Floyd,
Florence, Lola, Jo, Ernest, Heslup and Nannie. William T. Scott and Sarah
Carroll were listed in the 1870 Colbert Co. Census. They apparently married

their children. Jo Scott and Lola Scott married brothers, Jessee Young and
James A. Young. Nannie Scott married Benjamin W. Darby. William Floyd Scott
moved to Texas prior to 1912 and married Maggie Pauline Johnson in Bonham,

BALENTINE - PUGH
Date: 7 Nov 2003
From: Sonya McLauchlin
Does anyone have ANY information at all on Leander Balentine who was married to Martha Alice Pugh and had 8 children with her?
I'm guessing he would've been born somewhere around 1880, and maybe married
around 1900 or so. They lived in Lauderdale Co., AL and he left her sometime
in the 1920's and remarried a woman by a name of Ruby (?) or something close. They moved
to Arkansas and had more children. I have reason to believe his MOTHER was a
Balentine, and he took her last name. I also believe he died in the 1950's and
was buried in Lauderdale County. ANYthing would be appreciated.
