LAUDERDALE COUNTY, ALABAMA
CEMETERIES - TOWNSHIP 2, RANGE 11
BURTWELL CEMETERY
Surveyed by Orlan Irons, 6 Oct 1992
To reach this cemetery from Florence, take Cox Creek Parkway and turn north onto Helton Drive; go 0.45 mile and turn left on a gravel road; go 0.25 mile to cemetery. The cemetery is on the left side of the road in a wooded area. It has a barbed wire fence around it. It is almost in front of Lawrence Alexander's house, and he is the person that has been taking care of it for many years, otherwise it might not still be there. It is in a pretty good condition. It is not shown or listed on any maps. There are two or three sunken places that would indicate unmarked graves. The legal description is NE4, SW4, S26, T2S, R11W.
