marked grave. By grouping them by township and range it is hoped

BOOTH FAMILY CEMETERY
Township 2, Range 9, Section 22
Location: From Center Star, go west on US 72 for 0.5 miles, then north 0.5 miles on CR31. The cemetery is 0.25 miles east of Hale Road. This cemetery was surveyed by William Q. Hill and published in his book, A History of Greenhill and Surrounding Communities in Lauderdale County Alabama with 54 Cemeteries of the County, page 77.

May 1877 Booth, Mary Jun 1867 The following information provided by Robert Torbert: In the 1840 census a Nathanial Booth is in Lauderdale County with three females. 1850 Census, Lauderdale County, AL, p. 307B 2nd Division East of the Military Road; 3 Oct 1850 89/89 Boothe, Mary 55 f 500 SC ", Harriet 22 f AL ", Caroline 21 f AL Family not located in 1860. In the 1870 Census of Center Star, Harrett Booth is listed as head of the household, 42 yrs old, born in AL. She is a farmer and has two black children as farm workers. Notes by LIZ MOORE 4 Jan 2005: Nathan Booth married Mary Shelby November 2, 1822 Lauderdale County, Alabama Mary Booth is a widow on the 1850 census. She is listed as 55 born SC. Harriet is listed as age 22. Also a daughter named Catherine age 21. Harriet is listed on the 1870 census. She is single age 42.

Location: From Florence, go east on US 72 through Killen and turn south on CR 31. Go about one mile, turn right on CR 171, and go about 1 mile. The cemetery is on the left next to the highway at the top of a hill. This cemetery was surveyed in Sept 2006 by Robert Torbert.

Location: From Center Star, go east on Hwy 72, turn south [right] on CR 33, drive about 1 1/2 miles to CR 111 and turn east [left]. The cemetery is in a wooded area southeast of the intersection.
