UNDERWOOD CEMETERY

To reach this cemetery, turn north off Cox Creek Parkway, onto AL 157 (Cloverdale Road), go 1.9 miles, turn right on a paved street, go 0.2 mile, this paved street runs into a gravel road, continue for 0.1 mile. There is a metal gate at the end of this gravel road. It would be best to stop your vehicle here, and walk 300 yards to the cemetery. This road is graveled, but is not used that much. The cemetery is on the left side of the road, it has a chain link fence around it, that is almost new. It looks like it has been fairly well taken care of. All the graves have markers, except there are two sunken holes with no markers. This looks like the only unmarked graves in this cemetery, although it has a large fence around it, and plenty of room. The last person buried here was in 1961. This cemetery is not listed on the 1987 Lauderdale County Highway Map. The legal description for the cemetery is SE4, NW4, S22, T2S, R11W.
