WESSON CEMETERY

To reach this cemetery, turn north off Cox Creek Parkway, onto AL 17 (Chisholm Road), go 2.3 miles, turn left in front of Emanuel Baptist Church and go 0.1 mile. The cemetery is on the north side of the church near a fence. It is on the inside of a pasture, that has a chain link fence around it, and barb wire on top. In order to get on the inside of this cemetery, you will have to drive around to the back of this pasture, either to Leon Roberson's house, or his daughter's house and go through these gates to get on the inside to this pastue. Even though this cemetery is by this church, I don't think there is any connection as far as upkeep or anything else.

This cemetery has a concrete wall about 18 inches high around it, that has partly fallen over; there are some trees on the inside of it. There are 2 large pieces of stone on the inside of this cemetery, that was probably the base for a tombstone. There are 2 big rocks on the outside that could be a marker for a grave. This cemetery is not shown on the 1987 Lauderdale County Highway Map. The legal description for the cemetery is SE4, SE4, S15, T2S, R11W.
