William Frank Heaton, Sr., the son of Lewis and Amanda Heaton (1834-1899) of Butler County, Al, arrived in Terrell, Texas with his family in 1894 where he settled and established a house moving business. Also born in Montgomery were their children William Frank, Jr., in 1891, and May, in 1893. Three more children were born in Terrell. They were John, in 1897, Annie Lee in 1899, and Charlie, in 1900.
William Frank, Sr., died in 1920 and Annie Lee (Todd) died in 1935. All of their sons served in the armed forces during World War I. Frank Jr., was a Chief Petty Officer in the navy; John a Private in the army; and Charlie a First Class Petty Officer.
