If you live in Morgan County, or have any family connection to Morgan County, you are invited to join the Morgan County Genealogical Society! The Morgan County Genealogical Society publishes the genealogical quarterly Morgan Memories, as well as many other valuable publications for Morgan County. Annual dues are $20 for an individual or $25 for a family.
Remember purchases of published books and memberships to societies allows the society to print new publications and purchase genealogical information to further your research. Please support Morgan County genealogy!

The Morgan County Genealogical Society publishes Morgan Memories each September, December, March and June (one per quarter of membership year). Each issue contains about 30 pages of genealogical information, photographs, history, queries, pedigree charts, Society news, archives news, etc. Back issues are available for purchase.
Members are invited and encouraged to submit material to the editor for publication. They may submit Morgan County-related queries free, up to about 50 words, free of charge. Please submit all material for Morgan Memories to the Society:

The Society has a wide array of Morgan County genealogical publications available for purchase, including copies of The Heritage of Morgan County (1998), now on sale at a reduced price of $65.00 (with $10 shipping and handling), for a limited time only (until March 31, 2012). Also available are three volumes of genealogical "tid-bits" from early Morgan County newspapers; the valuable Morgan County Cemeteries books, as well as surveys of Decatur City Cemetery and Johnson Chapel Cemetery; published marrige, court, and death records; and more.
