Perry R Rolfe

Funeral service for Perry R Rolfe, age 81 of Somerville will be Monday,
January 13, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Antioch United Methodist Church with Kathryne
Perkins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in the
adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Monday at
the funeral home.
Mr Rolfe, who was born on September y, 1932, in Morgan Counto to Joe Wilbur
Rolfe and Mary McCutcheon Rolfe, died on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at his home
in Somerville. He was a lifelong member of the Antioch United Methodist
Church, retired from Redstone Arsenal after 33 years and also retired as a
Lieutenant Colonel after serving for 33 years as a member of the 1343rd
Battalion of the U. S. Arny National Guard. He was preceded in death by
his parents and by two brothers, Joe Rolfe Jr. and Harry Rolfe, a sister Faye
Rolfe Willis, and a stepbrother, Dr. Dale Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Julia Rolfe; a son, Phillip Rolfe
(Brenda); a daughter, Belinda Thompson (Steve); and two grandchildren, Elizabeth
Thompson and Joseph Thompson, all of Somerville. He is also survived by a
stepsister, Judy Brown Aldridge of Danville.
Pallbearers will be donald Ray Rolfe, Roger Garner, Christopher Binkley, Herb
Willis, Patrick Willis and Don Murphy.
