Nashville, AR. Saturday, January 17, 1925

L. W. (Warner) Tapscott, aged 63 years, died at the family home in this city Thursday morning, after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the First Baptist church, conducted by the Rev. M. R. Gaddis, followed by interment in the Nashville cemetery, the funeral being directed by Skillern's. Mr. Tapscott, with other members of his immediate family, moved to Nashville from Morgan county, Ala., about 20 years ago, since which time he has lived here and successfully engaged in farming. He was a man of unusual quiet demeanor, a very likeable disposition, and one who was always anxious to lend a helping hand where it was needed. While he was never aggressive, he was a man of high moral courage and was always to be found in the ranks of those who were for the betterment and upbuilding of the country. He is survived by by two sisters, Mrs. Chas. Copeland and Miss Lattie Tapscott of this city, F. F. Tapscott of Springfield, La., and Joe Tapscott of Texas. The News joins in extending deepest sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
