Hartselle-Funeral for Vernon A. "Bill" Thomas, 77, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Walter Blackmon and Norman Whittoon officiating. Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery. Mr. Thomas died Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was a disabled World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Hartselle. He is surved by his wife, Martha H. Thomas of Hartselle; and one brother, Allen Thomas of Cotaco. Pallbearers were Johnny Chandler, Hamil Lawrence, Don Pouncey, Scotty Stinson, Larry Thomas and Randy Thomas.
