Hartselle - Funeral for Lottie Bean Wright, 91, of Hartselle, will be Wednesday
at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Brooks Barkley and the Rev. Ron
Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from
6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Wright died Monday, June 21, 1999, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born
April 7, 1908, in Morgan County to John Lawson Bean and Nina Stephenson Bean.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle, where she taught Sunday
school for many years and was a member of the Bell Ringers and Prime Timers. She
graduated from Morgan County High School in 1924. After attending Howard College
for the summer term, she began her teaching career at the age of 16 that fall.
She later became a notary public and tax accountant and was the longest serving
notary public in the state. She was a member of Bethel Homemakers Club and AARP.
She was the widow of Joe Everett Wright.
She is survived by two sons, Joe Lawson Wright of Collierville, Tenn., and John
Everett Wright of Hartselle; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tom Drinkard, Frank McDaniel, J. E. Peck, Jr., Charles
Quinn, Don Tapscott and Cecil Vice.
