WELL KNOWN WOMAN DIES
Mrs Mattie Wilson, well-known Hartselle woman, died there at 5 o'clock Thursday
morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs J. L. Brake, following a brief illness.
Funeral rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethel Baptist Church by
Rev. A. H. Mahaffey, the pastor, who will be assisted by Rev. Frank T. Smith.
Burial in the nearby cemetery will be directed by Peck.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Brake and Mrs W. A. Pope, also of
Hartselle; three brothers, Charles Yeager, Hartselle route 3; Bob Yeager of
Cullman; Sam Yeager of Cisco, Texas; nine grandchildren and one great
grandchild.
Pallbearers will be J. W. Horton, J. B. Crutchfield, E. L. Darby, W. H. Rollins,
F. W. Pope, and L. N. Whitman. Granddaughters will be flower girls.
Widow of the late F. E. Wilson, who died five years ago, Mrs Wilson was born in
Morgan county and spent her entire life here. She had been a member of Bethel
Baptist church since a child.
