BURNED CHILD PASSES HERE
Little Mary Elga Dempsey, 5, died Thursday evening at Baugh's Infirmary, the
victim of burns received while playing near a fire at her home on Lacey's Spring

According to a statement made by the child's mother, Mrs. G. D. Dempsey, who was

hands. Both were taken to the infirmary for treatment. The child passed away
late Thursday evening.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Antioch
church with Rev. Noah Mason officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining
cemetery with Peck directing.
The child is survived by her parents, Mr and Mrs G. D. Dempsey, one sister, May
Esther and a brother, William Grady Dempsey. Pallbearers will be Buddy Riddle,
Joe Willis, Lloyd Lawrence and William Overstreet.
