E. C. GRANTLAND, JR., LAID TO REST TODAY

E. C., Grantland, Jr., of Athens, died Wednesday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock at the residence of his parents, 206 East Bryan Street, Athens.

He is survived by his parents and a number of other relatives. The body was brought from Athens to Priest's funeral parlor and prepared for burial, later being removed to the home of his grandparents, Mr and Mrs R. Grantland in the McGlathery addition.

Funeral services there were conducted this morning at 11:30 o'clock by Rev M. M. Newton, with concluding services scheduled for Antioch, east of Hartselle, where interment will be made.
