RYAN GLASSCOCK DIED MONDAY AFTERNOON
Ryan Glasscock, aged 66, died at his home on Somerville 2, Monday evening at
6:30 o'clock. He had been ill a long while, suffering with leukemia.
Services were held at Bethel church Wednesday morning at ten o'clock by Rev.
Frank T. Smith.
Pallbearers were: Gregory Glasscock, Van B. Glasscock, Glenn Mitchell, Hewlett
Roan, Bunyan Roan and Howard Roan. The body will be taken to Birmingham by
Peck's Funeral Home for cremation at Ridout's Funeral Home.
Mr. Glasscock is survived by two daughters, Mrs. O. T. Aycock, Shellman, Ga.,
Miss Lillie Mae Glasscock, Somerville 2; three sons, Ottis of Somerville 2, Mace
of Clanton, Gordon of Russellville. Five brothers, A. G. Glasscock of Vinemont,
Julius Glasscock of Hartselle, U. Y. Glasscock of Hartselle, John A. Glasscock
of Decatur and T. B. Glasscock of Hartselle; two sisters, Mrs. George Mitchell
and Mrs. C. H. Roan of Hartselle.
