MRS. W. C. HARTSELLE IS SUDDENLY CALLED

Mrs. W. C. Hartselle entered her final sleep at 10:30 Sunday morning at her residence on Bethel street following an illness of two weeks.

Mrs. Hartselle was a native of Morgan County, having been born at Crowton, nearly 82 years ago. She spent her entire life in this vicinity and until attacked by the illness that ended her long and useful life, took great interest in the activities of her surroundings. She had seen the community which bore her name develop from a struggling trading point to a modern town and vividly recalled the stirring events of the past 75 years. It was a treat to talk over past events with this interesting woman whose kindly disposition and lovable nature had endeared her to a large circle of friends, to whom her passing is regarded as an irreparable loss.

Funeral services, attended by a large concourse of sorrowing friends, were held Tuesday afternoon at Bethel church, Rev. Frank T. Smith officiating. Interment was made in the churchyard cemetery, grandsons of Mrs. Hartselle acting as pallbearers.

The deceased is survived by one sister, Mrs. Margaret Sandlin of Decatur Route 3; three sons, J. A. Hartselle, Willie Hartselle and G. D. Hartselle, all of Hartselle, and four daughters, Mrs. C. T. Stevenson and Miss Minnie Hartselle, of Hartselle, Mrs E. R. Britnell of Decatur and Mrs. O. B. Gray, of Houston, Texas. Twenty-three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren survive.

(Name of newspaper and date is unknown.)
