Wayne Maxwell

Funeral service for Wayne Maxwell, 83, will be Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Antioch United Methodist Church with Rev Vandon Windsor and Rev. Katherine Perkins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service  Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr Maxwell died on Friday December 17, 2010 at Decatur General Hospital.  He was born October 10, 1927, in Morgan County to Samuel Herbert Maxwell and Lena Matilda Maxwell Edmondson.

He was a member and music director of Antioch Methodist Church for 50 years.  He was retired from Restone Arsenal.  Mr and Mrs Maxwell were married for 63 years.  He was preceded in death by daughters, Clynda Maxwell Cobb and Robbie Rene Maxwell, a granddaughter, Brittany Maxwell, a brother, Crady Marshall, and a sister, Betty Jean Maxwell.

Survivors include, wife, Elizabeth Maxwell, Somerville, AL One Son: Ken Maxwell (Anena) Somerville, AL  One Daughter: Rhonda Maxwell Booth (Cliff), Hartselle, AL One Brother: Bobby Maxwell, Somerville, AL Six Grandchildren Four Great Grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Lee Cobb, Thomas Cooper, Jonathan Osgobd, Niren Kapoor, Tim Walker, Bill Walker
