Funeral services were held this Thursday morning at 11 o’clock for James
Elizah Yarbrough, 73, who died Tuesday at 12:40 p.m. at his home in Moulton
Heights following a long illness. Services were held at Brown Funeral Home
Chapel, Decatur, conducted by the Rev. Charles Adams, the Rev. E. M. Barnes,
Jr., and The Rev. W. H. Queensbury. Interment followed in the Decatur City
Cemetery. Mr. Yarbrough was a former employee of the Louisville and Nashville
Railroad, having 30 years service with the company. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Mary Kate Yarbrough; three daughters, Miss Margaret Ann Yarbrough, Miss Mary
Evelyn Yarbrough and Mrs. Thomas I. Holland, all of Decatur; three sons, James
I. Yarbrough, Hartselle, Paul M. Yarbrough, Florence, Bayne Yarbrough, Decatur;
one sister, Miss Lala Yarbrough, Decatur. Nephews server as pallbearers.
