Robert A. Yarbrough, well known Decatur citizen died at 12:10 this morning at
his home in suburban Moulton Heights after an illness of three months. Services
will be conducted from the residence at 3 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. T.H. Wilson
and the Rev. W.W. Coffey, with burial following at City cemetery in charge of
Brown. Mr. Yarbrough is survived by two daughters, Miss Lala Yarbrough, Moulton
Heights; Mrs. H. G. George, Sterling, Va., two sons, Herbert and J. E.
Yarbrough, of Moulton Heights; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Sims and Miss Mattie
Yarbrough, Mayfield, Ky., a brother, M. V. Yarbrough, of Paris Tenn., and a
number of grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: Judson Stockston, E. L. Jolly, J.
M. Byars, Thos. Prosser, Floyd Barnes and C. L. Inman. Mr. Yarbrough who came
here in 1887 from Mayfield, Ky., to make his home was for years an employee of
the L & N Railroad Company at the local shops. Later he was engaged in
agricultural pursuits.
