Sumter County, Alabama Deed Book B, p. 374 John Trussell To Samuel Swilley Received the 21st And Recorded the 24th April 1837 This Indenture made the 19th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven Between John Trussell of Kemper County of the first part ad Samuel Swilley and Malachiah Mc antey? of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Four thousand and five hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America to him in hand paid by the said party of the Second part at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the Said party of the second part his heirs executors and administrators forever released and discharged from the same by these presents. Has granted bargained sold aliened remised released enfeoff conveyed and confirmed and by these presents Does grant bargain sell alien remise release enfeoff convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns forever. All and singular the following described lands and premises lying and situate in the County of Sumter and State of Alabama and designated as follows to wit all of Fractional Section No 15 and all of Fractional Section No 16 and the North East quarter and the East half of the North West quarter of Section No 21 all in Township No 21 of Range One West in the Tuscaloosa land District being the same which Jim Tom by of iven ? date herewith conveyed to said party. Together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments rights members priviledges and appurtenances unto the above mentioned and described premises belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the above granted and described premises with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns forever. And the said party of the first part for himself and his heirs the above described and hereby granted and released premises and every part and parcel thereof with the hereditaments and appurtenances unto the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns against the said party of the first part and his heirs and against all and every person and persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same shall and will warrant and by these presents forever defend and wife Elizabeth Trussell wife of the said John Trussell in consideration of the aforesaid and of One Dollar to her paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged does hereby release and relinquish to the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns all her right and title of dower in and to the above mentioned and described premises.
