Willingham Cemetery
Willingham Cemetery is in Section 20, Township 17S, Row 10W, near New Lexington. It was named for the local family ......James H. Willingham and wife Minnie McCain Whitson. James' mother was Elizabeth Azaline Whitson Willingham and father was Thomas Willingham. Her grandfather James S. Whitson settled in New Lexington circa 1820.
They are several unmarked graves. These are possibly other Whitsons/Willinghams.
Several blank markers near the site are believed to be those of slaves.
