William Moses POWELL was born 24 Jun 1852 in Jefferson County, Alabama. William died 21 Dec 1926 in Townley, Walker County, Alabama. He was the son of Isaac Moses William POWELL and Mary CALLAHAN. He married on 21 Dec 1873 to Elizabeth Catherine MCCOMBS. Elizabeth was born 19 Jan 1859 in Blount County, Alabama and died 20 Dec 1934. She was the daughter of Jas and Sarah A. McCOMBS.

William Moses POWELL and Elizabeth Catherine "EC" MCCOMBS had the following children:

Lois POWELL was born 25 Sep 1875 and died 9 Jul 1886.
Hesther Vienna POWELL was born 9 Oct 1877.
Rufus M POWELL was born 8 Sep 1879 and died 26 Jul 1886.
James Melrose POWELL was born May 1881.
Luther Alvin POWELL was born 16 May 1884 and died 18 Nov 1945.
George Thomas POWELL was born 3 Oct 1887.
Martin Grady POWELL was born 31 Jan 1890 and died 12 Sep 1945.
Willy Watts POWELL was born 24 Jan 1892 and died 25 Nov 1970.
Fred Phinest POWELL was born 24 Aug 1894.
John Horton POWELL was born 19 Nov 1896.
Joseph Wheeler POWELL was born 19 Dec 1898 and died 5 Oct 1984.

married Margaret Edeller "Deller" WEBB, daughter of Taylor WILLIAMS & Prudence "Pruddy Or Prud" GRIGG, 22 Jun 1890 in Fayette County, Alabama. Born 1 Apr 1875 in Marion Or Fayette County, Alabama. Died 4 Sep 1958 in Haleyville, Marion County, Alabama. Buried in Pleasant Grove {Griggs Place} Marion County, Alabama.
