Know all men by these presents that for and in consideration of the sum of one Dollar to us in hand paid by the Deacons of the Colored Missionary Baptist Church the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, we do promise, release, quit claim and convey to said Nick Stoball, Sam Hardy, Marshall Smith, Coleman Anthony Jr., Manuel Anthony & Nat Rivers, Deacons and their successors in office for the Colored Baptist Missionary Church [sic], all our right, title, interest and claim in or to the following described land situate in the county of Wilcox and state of Alabama, to wit: a part of Sec 1, T 14, R 6 - being 2 1/4 acres of of NE 1/4 of NW 1/4, known as part of the old Macedonia Church lot, said to contain two and one fourth acres more or less, and more particularly described as being, on the west side of said church lot, commencing at a large white oak tree on the Greenborough and Prairie Bluff road about 30 yds from said Macedonia Church NW, and from said oak following said Prairie Bluff & Greensborough Road S, 140 yds, thence E 78 1/2 yds thence north 140 yds, thence 78 1/2 yds to the same white oak tree as point of commemcement. Witness our hand and seal this the 21st day of May 1898.
