**Note: The six Gaston markers were in Old Shell Creek Cemetery, the burial ground for many of the first settlers of this area, and were moved here for preservation. Their ancestors b. in Ireland, came to Pa. in 1730 then to Chester, S.C. about 1752 then to Gastonburg in 1819.
