"Temple and Nancy Lea were believed to be charter members of the Siloam Baptist Church in Marion (1822), since their names are often mentioned in the early annals of that Church.
"Nancy (Moffett) Lea had the honor of being the only delegate from Marion at the Alabama Baptist Convention in 1823, which was held at Salem Church near Greensboro.
p 140 - "...Margaret Lea, daughter, would become Mrs. Sam Houston ... 9 May 1840, Marion AL; bride given away by her brother Henry C. Lea."
