Civil War Letters to Marion County from the
These letters were written by my G-G Grandfather ANDREW MILLIGAN ASTON of Marion Co. AL. He was married to MANERVA JANE MORTON. The ASTONs and MORTONs were in SC before moving to AL in the mid-1820s. A. M. Aston died in his very first battle, the Battle of Mill Springs, (KY) and is buried close to where he fell on the battlefield. Monya Havekost
