Below is a partial listing of this cemetery. Location: Go about 7 miles west from Centreville on U.S. Hwy 82. Turn left on Bibb Hwy 16, turn right on Little Hope Road. Go about 4 miles to Little Hope Community. Cemetery is located behind shed on property that once belonged to Sam Bracknell. The only grave with a marker is that of James William Deason, born May 22, 1830 - died Aug 5, 1883. I have a copy of an undated letter written to Dora Deason Murphy in response to questions asked by her grandson, Bill Adkison, by J. S. Deason. J. S. Deason states that his Grandmother Brown [Malinda McElroy Brown Ellis] was buried at this cemetery and he thinks his Grandfather Brown [Simeon Brown] was also buried there. Grandmother Brown died Dec. 11, 1896. He further states that there are 10 to 15 graves at this cemetery. In recent years, the cemetery has not been maintained. The marker for James William Deason is visible and you can see maybe 5 graves marked with sandstone. - Jacque
