Will of Solomon Johnson, Bibb County, Alabama:
I Solomon Johnson of the state of Alabama Bibb County do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in the manner and form
following viz After all Just demands is paid I give & bequeath to my dear wife Sary Johnson Wife & two children viz Marshel
Johnson and Pleasant Johnson... I give and bequeath my Daughter Elizabeth Johnson one horse and one saddle and one bed and bed
clothing and one Negro Julian... I give and bequeath to my Three Sons Wiley Johnson, ______ Johnson, Hannah Johnson one horse each
one quarter section of land Range 11 Township 24 Section 21 South East quarter of said section and ten bales of cotton that is in
Mobile and all the crop and all debts due Solomon Johnson... I give and bequeath to my four Daughters viz Margaret Johnson... Nancy
Johnson... Mary C. Johnson and Frances Johnson one feather bed each and two Negroes Noah and Bet... I give and bequeath to my four
Sons Govit B. Johnson, Solomon Johnson, William Johnson, and Pilgrim Johnson... One Negro Henry and one Horse all the rest and
residue of my estate goods and chattels I give and bequeath to my dear beloved Wife Sarah Johnson whom I nominate constitute and
appoint sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other and former wills made by me any time heretofore
made... In Witness where I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 9th day of October in the year of our Lord 1837... I publish
and declare this to be my last will and testament. Solomon Johnson (seal)... Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Testator
Solomon Johnson as & for his last will and testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in
the presence of the said Testator William L. Camp, John Johnson, Elisha Fancher (his mark)... Probated July 1839.
