Item ~ Emily Jane Lee. Relinquishment of right to administrator.  The State of Alabama, Bibb County}  To Jno W. Suttle Judge of Probate the undersigned widow and relict of Cullen Lee deceased hereby relinquish my right to administrator on my deceased husband and hereby authorize you to appoint any person whom you may consider competent to discharge the duties of said administrator but claim what the law allows me as his widow this July 28, 1854.  Signed in my presence July 28th 1854.  Signed Emily her X mark Lee

Item ~ Cullen Lees Estate ~ Letters of Administration to Oliver S. Quinn Recorded in Book G. Page 637.  The State of Alabama, Bibb County} I Jno W. Suttle Judge of the Probate County of said county do hereby certify that letters of administration on the estate of Cullen Lee deceased were on the 9th day of August 1854 granted to Oliver S. Quinn who was duly qualified and given bond as such and is authorized to administer such estate. Dated this 9th day of August AD 1854. Signed Jno W. Suttle Judge of Probate.

Item ~ Cullen Lee Estate administrators Bond. Recorded in Book G pages 636 and 637.  The State of Alabama, Bibb County} Known all men by these presents that we Oliver S. Quinn, Hopkins Stacy and Bryant Lee are held and firmly bound unto John W. Suttle Judge of Probate for said county for the time being and his successors in office in the penal sum of one thousand dollars for the true and faithful payment of which will and truly to be made we bind ourselves and each of us our heirs executors administrators jointly severely and finally by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this the 7th day of August AD 1854.  The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Oliver S. Quinn has been duly appointed administrator of the estate of Cullen Lee late of said county deceased now if the said Oliver S. Quinn shall will and truly administrator the goods chattels rights and credits lands and disbursements of the said Cullen Lee deceased then this obligation to be void else in full force and effect in law.  Test: Jno W. Item ~ Cullen Lee Estate Petition to sell crop.  Entered 19th August.  The State of Alabama, Bibb County}To John W. Suttle Judge of Probate the undersigned administrator of the estate of Cullen Lee deceased respectfully presents to your honor that Cullen Lee deceased, died leaving a small estate consisting of a small crop of Corn and Cotton and the fence around the crop is very bad and the hogs and cattle is breaking into the fields and destroying the crop that the deceased has left no person to save and gather said crop and to let the crop stand will prove a total loss to the estate by the stocks and expense of gathering your petitioner asked your honor to grant an order authorizing him to sell the crop in the field in at private sale as it stands both corn and cotton.  O. S. Quinn Administrator further propose of paying the debts of said decedent.  The State of Alabama, Bibb County} personally appeared before me Jno W Suttle Judge of Probate for said county Daniel Kornegay and Mathew Fulgham and after being duly sworn deposeth and saith that the facts set forth in the foregoing petition is true as stated.  Sworn to and subscribed before me August 18th 1854.  Signed Jno W. Item    ~ Cullen Lee Estate Account for Final Settlement Recorded in Book H of Administrators accounts Pages 626 to 627.  The State of Alabama, Bibb County} To the Honorable Jackson Gardner Judge of the Probate Court of said county.  Oliver S. Quinn administrator of the estate of Cullen Lee deceased which has hereforto been duly declared ensolvent files the following account and vouchers for final settlement of said estate.  The administrator charges with the accounts of said estate viz:  The amount of the sale bill of the property belonging to said estate as recorded in Book G pages 640 administrators accounts $245.88 2 articles insufficient in the above sale bill.  One mare and one field cotton amounting to $148.00 was sold subject to one mortgage in favor of C. Sanford and Son for a much larger account.  Amount received on note of S. Dill

The State of Alabama, Bibb County} Personally appeared before me Wm. M. Morrow an acting Justice of the Peace in and for said county Durbeu Elam who being duly sworn says upon oath that the above accounts against Cullen Lees decd in favor of John Elam is just correct and unpaid.  Sworn to and subscribed before me this 19th march 1855.  Signed Wm. M. Morrow and Derbun Elam.

Item  ~ Cullen lee estate allegation of insolvent. Recorded in book H pages 183 to 185 record 106 1st Monday in September.
The state of Alabama, Bibb County} To the honorable John  W. Shuttle Judge of the probate court of said county.  Olover S. Quinn administrator of the estate of Cullen Lee, decd. Respectfully represents to your honor that to the best of his knowledge and belief the property belonging to said estate is insufficient to pay the debts against the same and that the said estate is insolvent.  The administrator therefore prays your honor that such Proceedings may be had upon said estate that the same may be duly declared insolvent.  The following is a list of the evidences debts due the estate of Cullen Lee decd which encompasses all the accts belonging to said estate.  There being no real estate belonging to the same.  The amount of the sale bill of the property belonging to said estate swold sold August 26th 1854 and due the 26th 1856 for $265.88 After deducting from said sale the amount of a morga? In favor of Charles Sanford and Son made by said inteste on property included in said sale bill to secure the payment of the following notes. Viz
1 note dated June 17th, 1852 due on day after date for 24.27
1 note dated June 14, 1853 due one day after date for 21.68
1 note dated January 10, 1854 due one day after date for 41.63
interest on said notes until 26th of August 1855 the amount account of said sale bill is due 15.15
The amount secured by the mortgage when sale bill is due 102.73.

The amount of sale bill after deducting the amount secured by mortgage 143.15
1 note on S. Dill due 25th December 1854 for 15.00
1 note on Joshua Hatesdin 25th January 1852 (doubtful) 40.00
1 note on James Lynn not dated due one day after for 44.00 credited February 5, 1853 with 30.00 which leaves14.00, one note on Henry Johnson due 6th October for 5.20

Quinn administrator of the estate of Cullen Lee deceased and made oath in due form of Law that the foregoing schedules is correct as far as his knows of his own knowledge and so for as he has been informed by others is correct sworn to and subscribed before me this 18th day of June 1855.
