On 6-29-1872 his wife applied for a pension in Centreville, Al..Certificate # 19004 or ? which was granted after he died in 1883. John owned land worth One Thousand dollars( $1,000.00) Which was a lot of land in those days. John is buried in Haysop Baptist Cem. Bibb County , Al.
